A family-owned atelier in the heart of Mysuru, preserving the timeless art of rosewood carving and crafting heirloom furniture for the modern home.
Shakthivel Arts & Crafts was founded in 1990 in Mandi Mohalla, Mysuru — a neighbourhood long associated with the city's woodworking traditions. What began as a small family workshop has grown into a trusted name for handcrafted rosewood furniture, carved panels, swings, console tables, sofas, beds and traditional Mysuru wood art.
Every piece we make passes through the hands of skilled artisans who learned their craft from a generation before them. We work primarily with premium Indian rosewood, chosen for its dense grain, natural strength and rich tones that only deepen with age. From timber selection to final polish, the work is slow, careful, and unmistakably handmade.
Today our furniture lives in homes, pooja rooms and luxury interiors across India and around the world. Whatever the destination, our promise stays the same: heirloom-grade craftsmanship, built to be passed down.
Hand-selected Indian rosewood, chosen for grain, density and longevity. Seasoned and prepared in-house before it ever meets a chisel.
Hand-carved details and traditional joinery by master artisans, in the Mysuru style that has defined our workshop for over three decades.
Multi-stage hand polishing brings out the natural depth of rosewood — a finish made to be lived with, and to age beautifully.
