What began in 1990 as a small family workshop in Mysuru is today an atelier entrusted by homes, hotels and heritage projects across India.

Our founder Shri Shakthivel apprenticed under the temple carvers of old Mysore, learning a vocabulary of motifs passed down through centuries. Today his sons and grandsons lead a workshop of more than thirty artisans — sculptors, joiners, polishers — each a master of their craft.
We chose to grow slowly. We chose hand over machine. We chose to remain a family. And in doing so, we have stayed faithful to a tradition that the modern world has all but forgotten.
Ethically sourced rosewood, teak and rare hardwoods — seasoned naturally for years before our chisels ever meet them.
Every motif is drawn, carved, sanded and polished by hand. The slight imperfections are the soul of the piece.
Mortise and tenon, dovetails, hand-cut wedges. Built to outlive its owner — and the next generation too.
Customisation is not an upgrade. It is the standard. No two Shakthivel pieces leave our workshop alike.
