What size wooden jhula should I choose for my home?
For a single seater allow at least 4 ft of ceiling width; a comfortable two-seater needs 5 to 6 ft, and a family bench-style jhula needs 7 ft or more. We'll suggest the right size based on your room dimensions and ceiling height.
Are your jhulas safe to hang from a normal ceiling?
Yes — our jhulas come with heavy-duty steel chains or brass hardware rated for the seat weight. We also offer freestanding floor-frame jhulas for homes where ceiling mounting isn't possible.
Can I get a jhula in plain teakwood without heavy carving?
Absolutely. We make minimal contemporary jhulas in clean-line teakwood as well as heavily carved traditional rosewood unjals. Tell us your style and we'll design accordingly.
Do you install the jhula at my home?
In Mysore and Bengaluru we offer white-glove delivery and installation. For other cities we ship securely crated with clear installation instructions, and our team is available on WhatsApp to guide your carpenter.
How is a wooden jhula different from a zhula or unjal?
They're the same thing in different languages — jhula (Hindi), zhula (regional spelling), unjal (Tamil/Kannada). All refer to a traditional Indian swing, and we craft each style.
